Flicker Hospital Map
Hospital, originally 60s Asylum, is a quiet two-wing building with a reception lobby people insist on turning into a diner. It is indoor, readable, and full of doors that teach new players the wrong lesson: hiding behind a counter does not remove you from the murder menu.
Structure
Central lobby with cabinets and a desk, then two wings. Stairs, a psych room, reception — those are the callouts that matter. Collision on filing cabinets and the lobby desk was patched in 4.1.x because people were clipping. Sound arrived in 4.2.3. A prototype leaked in 2019 for the legacy version and never quite matched what shipped.
Table culture
Reception roleplay is real and it will eat your day timer. If you are Detective with an Evil clue, talk over the food bit. Hospital’s death scenes (failed experiment, surgery, floating in the psych room) are theatrical. Screenshot after you vote, not before.
When to pick it
Hospital is the indoor map for people who are tired of House but not ready for Area 8’s neon. It clusters players, which is good for teaching visit logic and bad for Ambusher. If you rolled Ambusher, pray for a 15-stack on this layout.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers for the searches that follow a bad round.
Why can’t I jump a tiny wall?
Collision is intentional on some half-walls. Walk around. Reddit has been complaining since 2025.
Is it still called Asylum?
Internally it was. The live name is Hospital.
Good for beginners?
Yes, after House. Callouts are rooms, not trees.
Any unique role interaction?
No. Same abilities. Tighter sightlines for lantern-less walking.
