How to Survive in Flicker

Survival is not a badge farm, it is how you keep your vote. Most “I died night one” stories are the same three sins: you claimed a juicy role, you sent a note that dropped, or you stood on a heal target Ambusher was watching. This page is the unsexy discipline. The pro-role video in the middle covers every seat; steal the Survivor chapter even if you rolled Psychic.

Look boring on purpose

Hello-spam, all-caps accusations, and “who is murderer lol” paint a target that costs Murderer nothing to click. Write a short, specific journal. Vote once with a reason. Do not follow the loudest person around House like a tour group — Ambusher loves traffic.

Notes and journals

Notes drop 20% of the time. If you cannot afford a drop, do not send. Assassin has to send anyway; they use coded language, not “I am Assassin.” Journals should look like the role you are. Fake Psychic without a second night line is a death sentence when you are actually Survivor. The journal helper formats the real patterns.

When dying is fine

A Spy who caught Murderer and then died has already won the round if the table reads the grave. A Medic who self-healed on a fake read and lived is a throw. Survive when your vote still matters. Spend yourself when the receipt is better than your next day of chat. That is the whole skill.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers for the searches that follow a bad round.

Does standing still reduce kill chance?

No. The knife is a menu. Position is for Ambusher visits and for looking at death scenes.

Should I hide in Sewers?

Hiding does not remove you from the player list.

Is lantern required to survive?

No. It only helps you walk. The vote is the survival tool.

Do ghosts scare killers?

Ghosts cannot talk to the living. Write the journal before you die.
