Flicker Role Compatibility Checker

Most instant-vote claims are illegal pairs. Medic cannot sit with Savior. Psychic cannot sit with Spy. Scout cannot sit with Witch. Dark Psychic cannot sit with Assassin. Muffin Man cannot sit with Twins. This tool is a yes/no so you stop typing suicide in day chat.

How to use it

Pick two roles. If the tool says impossible, do not claim both in the same round, and vote people who do. If it says possible, that is not proof they are sincere — only that the list allows it. Ambusher still requires a 15-player game even when the pair is legal.

Why mutexes exist

They keep information from stacking into an unbeatable town or an unbeatable Evil. Two readers plus a healer plus a rez would delete night. Two blockers plus two knives would delete day. The designer solution is a coin flip inside each class. Learn the classes and you can reconstruct the list from memory: Leader, Sleuth, Helper, Good cosmetic, Malicious, Henchman, Neutral.

Teaching use

Run it with a friend in party queue before you enter. The first week of Flicker is people claiming Detective and Psychic and Spy as a friend group. That is three leaders and two sleuths. The table will hang you for the math, not the vibe.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers for the searches that follow a bad round.

Can Murderer and Assassin coexist?

Yes. That is the scary kit. Dark Psychic is the one that cannot sit with Assassin.

Can two Survivors exist?

Yes. Up to six.

Twins count as one claim?

Two players, one role name. They know each other at start.

Does Classic use this chart?

No. Classic is a five-role list without these pairs.
