Flicker Party Queue

Before 4.4, “queue with friends” was a superstition. You mashed Play on a count of three and still landed in different nights. The party system is a lobby object that guarantees the same match. 4.4.1 then taught it not to dissolve the second the end screen appears. This is the friend-stack manual.

Flicker lobby gameplay still for party queue

How to form one

Stand in the Flicker street lobby, not in a live round. Open the party control, invite, wait until the stack is full enough to be worth a 15-player Ambusher lobby if that is the point. Then queue. Mode still has to match — a Regular party does not drag an Anonymous friend through the cosmetics door. Map votes still happen; a five-stack can bully House or Black Creek if you actually talk.

4.4.1 persistence rules

Parties now stay together after matches. If a member who is not the leader presses Rejoin Queue or Return to Lobby, they leave the party. If the leader presses those buttons while any member is still alive, the leader leaves and another member is promoted. That is the whole trap. Do not mash Return to Lobby because you died on night one unless you intend to strand the group.

How to use it without throwing

Call mutexes in party chat before the round: one of you is not both Medic and Savior. Assign a room-caller on Black Creek House. Do not stack five Detective claims. Twins in the same party can Whisper after 4.4, which is the first time a pre-made pair is actually a feature instead of a Discord call over a note. If you are hunting Who Even Gets This?, stay through the end screen — dead-player wins need the party not to rage-quit.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers for the searches that follow a bad round.

Is there a max party size?

Fit the match. Fifteen is a full round and the only Ambusher guarantee. A duo still beats the old count-to-three method.

Can a party force Voice Chat?

Only if every account can enter that lobby. Mixed voice/non-voice stacks should stay in Regular.

Does party skip map vote?

No. It skips the “we loaded different servers” problem. You still vote.

We keep splitting after games.

Stop pressing Return to Lobby on the leader pad. Read 4.4.1 again.
