Flicker Controls
Flicker uses Roblox movement and a pile of custom UI. There is no dash, no block, no special-move key from some other game called Flick. If a controls article told you to press E to attack, it scraped the wrong experience. This is the actual Flicker board.
PC
WASD or arrows move. Space jumps. Mouse looks. The round is not won in the movement layer. Your real binds are on-screen: gift icon for codes, mannequin for cosmetics, Play/subway for queue, journal tab during a match, vote panel during day, player list during night if you have an ability. Esc is the Roblox menu, not a pause that stops the night timer. Do not AFK in Esc.
| Action | PC |
|---|---|
| Move | WASD / arrows |
| Jump | Space |
| Look | Mouse |
| Codes | Gift icon, left lobby |
| Customize | Mannequin button |
| Queue | Green Play / subway |
| Ability | Night player list |
| Journal | Round journal tab |
Mobile
Left stick moves, jump on the right, drag to look. Left-rail icons match PC. The shop was moved to the top-right so it stops eating jump. Type journals with the knowledge that you will be slower than desktop Detectives — pre-write in the helper tool if you need to. Pinch zoom is limited because people were clipping cameras; that is intentional.
Console / controller (4.4)
Update 4.4 added controller support. Left stick moves, right stick looks, face buttons hit whatever Flicker has focused. Leftover panels fall back to Roblox’s default UI selection. It is playable. Journal typing is still a keyboard job. If a control feels missing, file it on Nolt — joritochip asked console players for that feedback in the patch notes.
Round UI, not keybinds
Voting is a button list, not F to pay respects. Notes are a compose panel with a 30-second cooldown after 4.3.4 (Quick Chat was added in January 2026 and then stripped). Role reveal at the start is a card, not a hotkey. If nothing happens when you click a name at night, you are Survivor, Twin, or Detective — you do not have a visit. That is a role problem, not a control problem. Read the Good Team page.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers for the searches that follow a bad round.
Is there a push-to-talk key?
Voice Chat servers use Roblox voice. There is no Flicker-specific bind.
Can I rebind WASD?
Roblox settings, not a Flicker menu.
Why is there no attack button?
Because it is not an FPS. Murderer clicks a name in the dark.
Mouse-lock?
Disabled/limited to stop clipping. Use standard look.
